Domrist, Mandolinist, and 2019 Astral National Auditions Winner, Ekaterina Skliar debuted with the Russian Folk Instrument Orchestra of the Buryatia Republic at age 11, and went on to perform with numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles in her native Russia. Her vast repertoire includes transcriptions of classical music, original works for domra and mandolin, and contemporary and jazz music. A prizewinner of many international and all-Russian competitions, she was also awarded a Silver Medal Global Music Award for her solo domra recording.
